I think Taylor Swift is probably a good girl and genuine and all this stuff, but it’s like… this best friend celebrity thing, where it’s like ‘I’m fucking so much richer than you. I live this amazing life. I sell myself constantly - I tweet about my life.’ I only like to tweet jokes, because I think that’s my only thing I have of value to people for the most part. I’ll tweet you jokes, that’s all you want from me. You don’t want my fucking life, because that’s what you get from your life and your friend’s lives. All these people that share everything with their fans, ‘I love you, I love you’ and then they get surprised when people are snapping them… ‘Oh, paparazzi are so invasive.’ No they’re not. You let everyone into your life. For the most part, you invited people into your life. You invited reality show crews into your life, don’t act like you don’t just because it’s inconvenient for you now. You created this demand.

And this is the thing - when people always ask how you deal with haters, that’s what I always hear. ‘How do you deal with the haters?’ And everyone says, ‘I just ignore ‘em, fuck the haters, let ‘em be haters.’ The way you deal with haters is you first deal with the lovers and you realize that the love is equally far from the norm as the hate. And when you can deal with the love and realize that that isn’t really true, then you can feel better about the hate. But truthfully if you believe the people that say, ‘I love you, I love you so much, whoever,’ if you believe that, you will always believe the hate. But realize that the person saying, ‘I love you, you’re my hero’ is just as wrong as the person saying, ‘Die in a ditch.’
